Katharine M. Nohr is the author of Managing Risk in Sport and Recreation: The Essential Guide for Loss Prevention (Human Kinetics 2009) and is a frequent international speaker on Olympic Games, professional athlete and triathlon risk management. Since 2010, she has traveled to London, Turkey, Brazil, Greece and the mainland U.S. for speaking engagements. She is a principal in the company Nohr Sports Risk Management, LLC, which offers career longevity/reputation risk management coaching for professional athletes.
Katharine is a former District Court (per diem) Judge and continues her work as an insurance defense attorney, practicing law in Hawaii. She was awarded Insurance Professional of the Year in 2012 by the International Association of Insurance Professionals and served as that organization’s Regional Vice President and on the international board of directors from 2014-2015.
During her free time, Katharine enjoys herding her 2 Siamese cats, swims, travels, writes, and spends way too much time on social media. Land Sharks is Katharine's first fiction novel in the Tri-Angles Series. She is currently working on more books in the series.
